Timeline
1997: Born into an average working-class family in Sendai, Japan.
2007: Bought my first camera — a YASHICA Electro 35.
2008: Started repairing cameras using self-made tools.
2010: Wrote in a school essay: “My dream is to become a camera maker.”
2014: Began buying junk cameras, restoring them, and reselling for pocket money.
2016: Repaired over 50 cameras. Eventually became more interested in making cameras than fixing them.
2018: Started working full-time. Bought my first lathe with my bonus and began machining camera parts in my parents’ garage.
